Audiobook Week: Mid-Week Meme

Welcome Everyone to Audiobook Week!
From June 25th to June 29 Devourer of Books is hosting a week of topics, giveaways and post dedicated to Audiobooks.  I had no idea there was a week just for Audiobooks but now that I am a 80 mile round trip commuter, I am so exited to post everyday about my new hobby.  Listening to Audiobooks!
Today's topic:  Mid-Week Meme
Current/most recent audiobook:
1Q84 by Haruki Murakami (Author), Alison Hiroto (Narrator), Marc Vietor (Narrator), Mark Boyett (Narrator)

Impressions:
This book is killing me!  Why oh why am I doing this to myself?  I honestly feel like I "HAVE TO" finish this so I can give it a solid bad review.  Apart of me wants to throw the iphone out the window and just move on but I keep telling myself.."Self you can't have a book blog full of good reviews.  So just finish it"  I hope that paints a good picture of the review to come.  Two words: Slowwwww! and Boring!

Current/most recent favorite audiobook:
I think you all have heard me go on and on about Beauty Queens by Libba Bray.  I loved it and yes I will get to the review soon.  I also loved The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebbecca Skloot.  I think that was my first non-fiction book this year.  And my first non-fiction audiobook ever.  Last year I listened to The Help by Kathryn Stockett and that was my 2011 favorite.

Favorite narrator you’ve discovered recently:
I love Libba Bray.  She is the author and narrator of Beauty Queens.  She created a new voice (with accents and all) for each character.  Adding her to the overall production (background) was over the top PERFECT!  I love Jenna Laima from Shiver.  When I was doing the research for this post, I learned that she has a huge resume of audiobooks.  I also loved hearing President Barack Obama narrator his book The Audacity of Hope.  I bought the audiobook for my daddy the Christmas the book came out.  It was perfect timing because we were doing driving to Texas for Christmas.  On the way back to Los Angeles I popped it in and feel in LOVE with his voice.  (And him to!)

One title from your TBL (to be listened) stack, or your audio wishlist:
It's hard to just pick one.  I have four on my Overdrive account waiting on me.  But I have so many more on the TBL list.  Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor and Ready Player One by Ernest Cline are on everyone's list so I will be adding them to mine too!  I am a sucker for peer pressure.
Your audio dream team (what book or author would you LOVE to see paired with a certain narrator, can already exist or not):
I think I would love to have Johnny Depp (in more ways than one) and Jenna Laima read Amy Tan book.  I her books and Saving Fish from Drowning would be a great selection for them sine they can do other voices really well.
