My Favorite Blog Post This Week

My Favorite Post from Other Blogs
This week I ran across a few blog events that I thought you should know about.

Looking for a way to get through the cold, icy nights of winter? How about curling up with a soft blanket, a warm drink and a fiery hot read? We are here to help chase away the winter blues with the Firey Reads for Icy Cold Nights Blog Tour! You may be asking what is The Fire and Ice Tour and how can I join in?
It is a month long blog tour/ giveaway hop featuring any book that has a romance. It doesn't have to be a romance novel, it can be any book that features a romantic relationship. If you want to participate everyone is welcome. The requirements are: You must pick a book with a romance or romantic theme. We are not hosting erotica i.e. Fifty Shades of Gray etc. We want to keep this family friendly. On your scheduled date you must highlight your book: i.e. review, author guest post/interview etc. Have fun and be creative with your posts. Finally, you must giveaway your book. You are welcome to do more than one day on the tour. This is a great way to not only bring traffic to your blog, but also a way to get to know some new fellow bloggers.

Wicked Valentine's Read-a-ThonWicked Valentine's Read-A-Thon
Hosted by My Shelf Confessions
Feb. 4 - Feb. 14

The Wicked Valentine’s Read-A-Thon is a time when we all get together to dedicate the days of February 7-14 to as much reading as possible. You read as much as you can in order to get yourself a little further through that huge to-read pile! We know real life gets in the way and even if you can’t participate more than one day, you’re welcome to join in on the fun!
In the meanwhile, we will be hosting book-related challenges where you can win some awesome prizes and have a Twitter party at the hashtag #WWReadathon! You can posts updates on your blog, Twitter, Goodreads or Facebook — as long as the profile is public and we all can enjoy your reading progress!
I think I might sign up and join in this one!

Book Blogger Love-A-Thon
Hosted by Alexa Loves Books
Feb. 23 - 24
The Book Blogger Love-a-Thon is an entire day dedicated to spreading the love among blogs in the book blogging community. Throughout the day, you'll spend time leaving comments on blog posts, discovering new blogs to love,  tweeting and posting about old favorites to share your thanks and promoting some of the awesome blogs that you follow! There will also be other things happening - interview swaps, mini-challenges and maybe a giveaway or two or three! We're still working on finalizing all the details, but once we have a set schedule, we'll send it out to everyone who's signed up!
I signed up!  This sounds like a day of fun!!

Take Control of Your TBR Pile
Hosted by Caffeinated Book Review
March 2013
While I do an excellent job of keeping up on new releases and ARC reviews, my own personal bookshelf has suffered, so I decided that for the entire month of March I would focus on cleaning up my TBR pile, catching up on some series and finally cracking the spines on some of those books I cannot wait to read. So I am clearing my schedule, setting aside the ARC's and drowning myself in my own pile of lovely books. (new releases on my gotta have it now or die list-excluded..I will still read those, even though they will not count..LOL)
So I am inviting you to join me! Glance over your shoulder at your own TBR pile...*yep it's that big!* Ya know you want at them and to encourage you for every book you read you'll get one entry into a Rafflecopter drawling to win a new 2013 release of your choice!
This event is all about me!  I am only reading from that pile over my shoulder for the year.  So this event is a must.
